Marsha Wilcox EdD, ScD

Director of Epidemiology,
Johnson & Johnson

Dr. Marsha Wilcox is a Director in Epidemiology at Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research and Development focusing in molecular epidemiology and epidemiologic methods. She is a graduate of SUNY Potsdam, and Columbia and Harvard Universities. She received her Ed.D. from Columbia in research methods and her Sc.D. from Harvard in epidemiology and biostatistics. Her postdoctoral fellowship was at Harvard Medical School in psychiatric genetics.

Dr. Wilcox’s research interests include the investigation of genetic etiologies of psychiatric disorders, identification of empirically derived phenotypes for genetic studies, and the application of novel methods in genetic epidemiology. She has published papers on each of these topics in several journals including Nature Genetics, the American Journal of Human Genetics, Genetic Epidemiology, Biological Psychiatry, Molecular Psychiatry, and BioMed Central. Currently, she is collaborating with Dr. Nancy C. Andreasen and the Iowa Longitudinal Study examining genetic pathways associated with brain structure and function in schizophrenia.
