Ben has been a statistician in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries for approximately 10 years, and has spent the majority of his career working in Phase III and Phase IV drug development.  His career began at Eli Lilly and Company where he spent 5 years working on the development of Xigris for Severe Sepsis.  He has spent the past 5 years working for Genentech Inc as a senior statistical scientist where he currently is the lead biostatistician for the company’s Phase IV respiratory program.  Ben received his Masters degree in statistics in 2001 from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.  In his current work, he uses data mining tools to extract information pertinent to patient care from registries, clinical trials, and claims databases.
