Ray Duplock has worked at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) for 21 years, currently working in the High Performance Computing group as a senior research consultant . At QUT, he has run a wide range of educational programs covering multivariate statistics, quantitative research methods and data mining. Duplock's main interests are in machine learning algorithms (particularly tree and boosting algorithms, regression splines, genetic algorithms and swarm theory) and systems dynamics and systems theory. Prior to working at QUT, he worked at the University of Queensland (5 years) and later at CSIRO (3 years) on a number of large biological projects. He lives in Brisbane, Australia and enjoys most outdoor activities and sports.
