Jon Farrar is the Vice President of the Predictive Modeling Department at the Union Bank of California. Jon has been involved in the banking industry since 1977 and began specializing in scoring technology in 1980. He has experience both in the U.S. and the United Kingdom, and in a variety of industry segments, including Banking, Consumer Finance, Scoring Technology Development, and B & C Mortgage. Jon joined Union Bank of California in 1995 with a charter to introduce scoring technology to the bank. He has evolved the department into the internal solution provider for Credit risk research, analytics and model development. In addition to tracking and monitoring all of the Risk Scoring implementations within the bank, Jon's department also now provides Behavior, Attrition, Account Monitoring, Origination and Cross-sell tools, as well as analytics that drive the bank's RAROC and Segmentation strategies.
Jon has presented at both the Fair Isaac and Experian user conferences and was asked to serve on the Industry Advisory councils for both Experian and Equifax. Jon also holds a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology.
