Eric Glover PhD, is a Fellow at Quixey, where he leads the Relevance Group. He has been involved with Web Search since the early days of the web in the 1990s, studying how to improve large-scale search through incorporation of machine learning. In 2001 he received his PhD in CSE/AI from the University of Michigan, specializing in applying machine learning to improve the usefulness of web search. With experience in both academic settings (NEC Labs, Princeton, NJ) as well as commercial search engines (Ask.com, Searchme.com, Quixey), he is an expert in search algorithms, architectures, data mining, very large-scale automated classification and machine-learned relevance. He has several highly cited publications, filed more than a dozen patents, and given presentations at various conferences.
