Ms. Lupetini will present the flexibility and power of using the MARS software to predict the demand of a product. Real world examples will be given demonstrating the capture of trends, such as, weekly, daily, hourly, and holiday effects in a statistical model. The ease of using both numeric and text data will be illustrated. Maria will also discuss the benefits of the using the MARS technique over other methods used for forecasting.
